• Account information you provide: name, email, password, and profile details such as skills offered, skills wanted, location, and photos.
• Content you create: matches, messages, and opportunity posts.
• Usage and device data: app interactions, device type, and approximate location, collected to operate and improve the service.

How we use your information

• To create your profile and rank matches by mutual fit.
• To enable messaging once both sides match.
• To keep the platform safe, prevent fraud, and provide support.
• To improve the product and, where you have opted in, to send updates.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Swaplyst (such as hosting and analytics), when required by law, or with other members as part of the matching experience (for example, your public profile is visible to potential matches).

Legal bases (for users in the EU and UK)

We rely on: contract performance (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the product), consent (for optional analytics and marketing), and legal obligation (where required).

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, see Delete your account. We retain limited records only where legally required.

Your rights

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and notify you of incidents where required.

Children

Swaplyst is not intended for anyone under 16 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We are based in the Abu Dhabi Global Market and use service providers in the EU, UK, and US. Where data leaves your jurisdiction, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
